Resep MPASI 7 Bulan: Sweet Potato Fritters, Snack Finger Food Tanpa Telur

7-Month MPASI Recipe: Sweet Potato Fritters, an Egg-Free Finger Food Snack

At 7 months, babies become more active, and their fine motor skills start to develop rapidly. This is the perfect stage to introduce finger foods as part of their complementary feeding journey. Finger foods help babies practice their pincer grasp, chewing skills, and independence.

This Sweet Potato Fritters recipe is just right! A combination of sweet potato and cauliflower, soft in texture, easy to hold, and completely egg-free—safe for babies with allergies or those just beginning to explore solid foods.

Ingredients

  • Steamed sweet potato & cauliflower (ratio 1:1)

  • EVOO (extra virgin olive oil) for pan-frying

Instructions

  1. Steam sweet potato and cauliflower separately until tender, then mash until smooth without lumps.
👉 Tip: ensure the mash is very smooth so it’s easy to mix and shape.

  2. Mix the two ingredients at a 1:1 ratio (or adjust to preference) until you get a moldable dough.

  3. Take 1 tsp of mixture, flatten into a coin shape or any shape easy for baby to hold.

  4. Heat a small amount of EVOO in a non-stick pan. Cook fritters over low heat until golden brown on both sides. Add more EVOO if needed.

  5. Serve warm, ensuring the fritters are at a safe temperature for your baby.
