About Poupuffe
When fully inflated, Poupuffe measures:
📏 54cm (W) x 42cm (H) x 38cm (L) and weighs 720 grams.
📏 PVC thickness: 0.3mm (top surface is fabric-coated).
When deflated (packaged), the dimensions are 32 cm x 17cm x 5cm.
Note: Airlines only consider width and height (total 92cm) for measurement purposes.
🔹 Poupuffe is equipped with one white safety valve (pressure relief valve) and one inflation/deflation valve.
🔹 The safety valve has a black and white nozzle that must be turned clockwise completely to prevent air leakage.
🔹 If cabin pressure or temperature changes significantly, the relief valve automatically releases excess air to maintain the correct pressure. This prevents your cushion from leaking or overinflating when the plane ascends.
How to Inflate
- After the seatbelt sign is turned off, take out your Poupuffe, stretch it, and place it in position on the floor.
- Ensure both valves are facing you and are securely in place.
- Begin inflating through the gray valve on the upper chamber.
- Once Poupuffe feels firm, stop inflating and close the valve.
💡 Tips:
✅ Use the pump connection that fits snugly into the gray valve.
❌ Do not use a sharp connector that might puncture the cushion.
✅ To minimize noise, insert the pump into the valve before switching it on, and turn it off before removing it.
✅ You may need to top up the air during your flight if cabin pressure changes frequently.
✅ Flip Poupuffe upside down to use it as a footrest (recommended for older children and adults).
✅ Practice inflating and deflating the cushion a few times before your flight, as the valves may feel tight at first.
How to Deflate
- Open the gray valves. Air will not escape immediately due to the manual center release button.
- Insert your finger inside the valve and press down on the center button to release air.
- Push down on Poupuffe until most of the air is out.
- Roll the cushion towards the valves to remove all remaining air.
- Complete deflation should only take a few seconds.
💡 Tips:
✅ For faster deflation, turn the white safety valve counterclockwise and press the air out while folding the cushion on your lap.
✅ Replace all valve caps immediately to avoid losing them.
Safe Use & Other Considerations
✔ Use Poupuffe under the following conditions:
🔹 It is packed away and securely stowed during taxi, takeoff, and landing. Inflate only after the seatbelt sign is turned off.
🔹 Do not use in an exit row.
🔹 Ensure it does not block access to the aisle for other passengers.
🔹 Position rapid deflation valves facing the aisle for easy access.
🔹 Children must wear their seatbelt at all times while using Poupuffe.
🔹 Children must be supervised at all times while using Poupuffe.
🔹 Children’s feet should rest on the cushion, not their heads.
🔹 Only use Poupuffe in seats approved by the airline (check with your airline before flying).
🔹 Be considerate of other passengers—ensure Poupuffe stays within your seat space and does not spill into the aisle.
