Beef bone broth is a nutrient-packed base, perfect for supporting the growth and development of 6-month-old babies. This recipe is ideal as a mix of MPASI or BLW food supplements to introduce new flavors with maximum benefits.
Ingredients:
- 500 grams of fresh beef bones (preferably marrow bones, ribs or a mixture of both)
- 1.5 liters of boiled water
- 1 stalk of spring onion (take the green part, cut into large pieces)
- 1 piece of ginger (grated)
- 1 bunch of carrots (for natural sweetener)
- 1 clove of garlic
- 1 onion
- 1 bunch of celery leaves
How to make:

Wash Beef Bones:
Clean the beef bones with running water to remove dirt. -
Initial Boil:
Boil the beef bones in water for 5 minutes, then discard the boiling water to ensure a clearer broth. -
Cook the Broth:
Put the cleaned beef bones into a large pot, add boiled water, spring onions, carrots, ginger and garlic. Cook over low heat for 3–4 hours. Be sure to skim off any foam or fat that appears on the surface to keep the broth clear. -
Strain the Broth:
Once done, strain the broth to separate the dregs into 3 parts meat, vegetables, and bones then cool. Peel the meat part to be blended and strain again for the second time until smooth. Discard the meat dregs that are not strained. -
Mix the ground meat into the sauce and save:
Cool the broth before storing it in an airtight container. The broth can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or frozen in ice cube trays for longer use.

- MPASI Mix: Use as a liquid for rice porridge, vegetable puree, or soup.
- BLW: Serve as a dip or as a flavor enhancer for finger foods.
